Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach, Maine is New England's only beach front amusement park. They offer rides and amusements for the young and the thrill seeker. Rides include a classic Ferris wheel, a carousel, two roller coasters and other thrill rides, including Adrenalin and Power Surge!

Fort Williams is a former United States Army fort in Cape Elizabeth, Maine which operated from 1872 to 1964. It was part of the Coast Defenses of Portland, later renamed the Harbor Defenses of Portland, a command which protected Portland's port and naval anchorage 1904-1950. After its closure, it was redeveloped into Fort Williams Park.

Within the Lakes Region of Maine, you'll find the towns of Bridgton, Harrison, Naples, Casco, Raymond, Gray, Windham, Standish, Sebago, Denmark, Brownfield, Fryeburg, Lovell, Sweden, Stow, Stoneham, Norway, Oxford, Otisfield and Waterford. Spread among these towns, you'll find Sebago Lake, the second largest lake in the state and the largest of the more than 50 lakes in the region.

Cape Elizabeth is the home of Portland Head Light. Situated along the spectacular shores of Fort Williams Park, at 1000 Shore Road, the popular landmark is owned and managed by the Town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The Park is open year round from sunrise to sunset.

When planning a fall foliage trip, please allow time to leisurely leaf peep. Windham is in Zone 1 (see link to website for Maine.gov for details) and visitors usually see the most amazing colors beginning in mid-October. Experience the Maine woods like Henry David Thoreau. Take the time to enjoy the quiet and solitude along winding country roads dotted with saltwater farms, a variety of country stores, and rest areas. There's nothing like Maine in the fall!
